My family
I am moving back to Hungary soon (probably at the end of May) So I thought I'll give you an idea where I am going...
First of all, this is my family. These are pictures taken at my father's birthday. He was born on a leap day, February 29th (which is actually NOT the official leap-day, but it's still the date that only comes around once every four years) so he has proudly celebrated his coming of age this past February. You are considered an adult in Hungary when you turn 18 - so you can figure....

In this first picture you can see my Father, my Mom, assorted cousins and nieces, my aunt, and my sister (in no particular order)
In the next one, our teenage boys take center stage....

OK, my Father got a new chair, so we are transferring from the wheels to the solid state in this series of pictures.

Really Simple Syndication
I actually set up a Google Reader several weeks ago with these feeds:
aQuamatica OPEN (1)
hcplc=Lib 2.0 (27)
INotes (1)
My Library Blog (2)
Tag, You're It! (3)
So far the reader has not really worked out for me, I still find myself just going directly to hcplc=Lib 2.0 (there is a shortcut on most library computers to it) with not much time left to explore beyond the links to links to links from all the posts and the 101 !!! blogs from there.
Maybe I'll try to add more feeds and check it more regularly - see if I get hooked ;-)

Digital photopgraphy
In an effort to better my technology skills and to be able to post (even more) beautiful pictures, AND videos on my library blog, I need to acquire a new digital camera. Of course I have checked a million online reviews, but I would like your opinion.
So, if you have a digital camera that you are just totally in love with, or one that you wish you had never laid eyes on in the first place - could you please share your experience?
I hope somebody reads this.....my faith is in YOU!
Thanks!!!

St. Augustine Beach

Last weekend I took a trip to St. Augustine. The beach was beautiful, although chilly and windy. We have also visited the fort. Here are some pictures.
and the website for the Fort, Castillo de San Marcos National Park.

FL documents weeding

I am just going through some old pamphlets in our library's state documents collection. I wonder if any other library still has copies of these. Of course I may be able to check that. Hold on a minute. Well, according to WorldCat at least 4 libraries have copies of this particular pamphlet, "Central Florida Urban Fishery Program in Cooperation with Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commision Sport Fish Restoration and the City of Orlando" - and our library is not even listed. It is a brochure of a legal size sheet folded in 4 sections, concerning freshwater fishing in the Orlando area. It has pictures and descriptions of six freshwater species and regulations concerning license requirements and bag limits. It is dated 1992. Do we really need this here? Is anybody going to ever want to look at it? The regulations have likely changed in the past 16 years, the address and phone number provided have probably changed as well. Also, these old documents have collected a lot of dust, perhaps dust mites - in any case they make me sneeze. (Does that make them something to sneeze at?)
